AN INTIMATE WEDDING AT SRV IN BOSTON
SRV is one of those venues I’ll never get tired of photographing, especially for couples who want their wedding to feel more like a really good dinner party than an overly stuffy event. Restaurants like this can be a warm and intimate alternative to a standard New England venue, which is part of what makes it so special! Liz and Glenn leaned fully into that energy. They added so much personality with hundreds of handmade origami cranes and bright, colorful florals that stood out beautifully against the restaurant’s deeper, moodier tones.
They exchanged vows privately just around the corner from the restaurant, then we wandered through the city for a few relaxed portraits before heading back to SRV to unwind before guests arrived. Dinner was served family style, encouraging conversation and that cozy, communal feel the space does so well. Later, the tables were cleared to open up the dance floor with a live band, which the venue made so seamless!
SRV makes weddings feel easy and intentional. It’s perfect for couples who care about good food (TRULY top tier), good design, and spending quality time with their people all in one location so you actually get the chance to engage with all your guests. With most of Glenn’s family traveling in from Ireland to celebrate, this was a great way to show out-of-towners the heart of Boston without overcomplicating the day. Overall, Liz and Glenn’s wedding was absolutely perfect and exactly what they were looking for in an intimate celebration.
