A SUMMER EVENING ENGAGEMENT SESSION IN NEWBURYPORT

Angelina and Sam’s engagement session was something truly special—not just because of the beautiful evening light or the sweet way they are together, but because of where it all took place: their very own backyard!

Just a week out from their wedding day, we spent time in the space they’d been pouring their hearts into ever since buying their first home. What was once just a backyard was now in the middle of becoming their wedding venue—after a bold (and totally epic) decision to cancel their original plans and host the celebration right at home. More on that soon, but for now, this session was all about getting to know each other, soaking in the space, and dreaming about what it would look and feel like on their big day!

Their garden was in full transformation mode, and we made sure to capture it exactly as it was—in the thick of the labor of love it had become. There was something incredibly meaningful about documenting the “before” while knowing the “after” would be filled with the people they love most, celebrating under the same sky so soon.

We wrapped up the session at a nearby farm down the road just as the sun began to set—and miraculously only had one tic encounter after laying in the tall grass LOL.
